About AIDS-Hilfe Kassel

AIDS-Hilfe Kassel is a non-government, social support organization. We work with people who live with HIV/Aids as well as risk groups, e.g. men who have sex with men, drug users or people in prison. Our prevention services are also aimed at the general population. In addition, we support gay, queer and trans* people through various LGBTIQ* projects.

Our services

We offer a variety of services for people in Kassel and Northern Hesse. These include:

  • Counseling and support for people with HIV/Aids, including medical, socio-legal and psychosocial accompaniment
  • HIV prevention for those who have a risk of infection and the general population
  • Testing for HIV and STIs
  • Support for refugees and asylum seekers who are queer and/or live with HIV/Aids (Rainbow Refugee Support)
  • Support for trans*, non-binary and queer people (T*räumchen)
  • We are part of the LGBT*IQ Network in Northern Hesse, which coordinates and supports activities of the queer community
  • Educational projects with a focus on HIV/Aids, anti-discrimination, gender identity or sexual and romantic orientation
